I'm in over my head and help would be greatly appreciated thank you. I finally realized that I can sometimes (but not always) boot into Windows by bypassing Chkdsk when it starts to run, but then I have other is slow and buggy, svchost.exe using up to 3,500,000k of memory. Every attempt to repair/restore I have tried so far (repair my computer autofix, system restore, last known good configuration, safe mode) all result in a black screen after a minute or two. Further attemps to reboot go directly to Chkdsk, which goes to a black screen. Chkdsk started deleting some files and then went to a black screen. When rebooting after running Windows Update I got an error message and my computer went into Startup Repair, which said that Chkdsk needed to be run.
